My dog needs to be on a leash. Can you work with that?
Safety is always my first concern so I prefer most dogs remain on a leash. I have a variety of leashes I bring that will allow your dog to roam yet not run away. Most of the time, leashes can be edited out later.
My dog is hyper, nervous, anxious, etc. Will you still be able to get amazing photos?
Absolutely! I've worked with all kinds of animals. With patience, understanding, treats and praise, all dogs take great photos!
What if the weather doesn't look good the day of my session?
Mother Nature's plans don't always coordinate with ours. In the days leading up to your session we'll stay in touch. If it looks like bad weather is forecast, we'll reschedule for a better day.
Can I be in the photos too?
Absolutely! In fact, I hope you'll jump in and get some photos with your pets too! I love capturing the special bond between pets and the people who love them!
Do you photograph pets besides dogs?
Yes, I've photographed cats, horses, guinea pigs - pretty much anything - as long as it won't bite me!
Do you photograph anything besides pets?
I love landscapes especially beachscapes, so you'll always find me with a camera anytime I'm near the ocean. Currently, I'm working on adding find art images for purchase to my website so you can enjoy seascapes too!
We don't celebrate milestones with our pets like we do for ourselves. There are no events like yearly school photos, senior photos and wedding photos to remind us to stop and capture the moment so we can treasure it forever. Too often, we don't realize this until it's too late. I want to change that. My mission is to capture your pet's unique personality and the special bond you share with your furry best friends!
I've spent my whole life studying animals and interacting with them. I even have a college degree in animal behavior. I've made a career out of caring for other people's pets. I've worked with animals that are shy, scared, exuberant, hyper, protective and friendly. To get that "perfect" shot, it's important to understand animals so they are comfortable too. After all, it isn't every day that your pet is in the spotlight!
