SE Guidedogs Suncoast walkathon

Recently I attended the Southeast Guide dogs Suncoast walkathon at Benderson Park. This is my 4th year being a vendor there and I always have so much fun meeting all the dogs and their people. This year was no exception.

It’s a wonderful way to spend the day with your pups and help raise money for a great cause. The Southeast guide dogs are provided to the people in need at no cost to them. All of the money required to breed, raise, train and care for these dogs comes from the support of alumni, donations and fundraising events like the walkathon.

There are six Walkathons organized around the state and there’s still time to sign up and join one of them. If these locations and dates don’t work for you, you can also create your own fundraising event - be it a walkathon in your community, a dog wash, bake sale or whatever event you come up with.
